LAHORE (Web Desk): Basant weather forecast revealed as PDMA predicted pleasant and dry weather with 20 to 22°C temperature in Lahore during festival days.

The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) Punjab has issued an important weather forecast for Basant days. According to the official statement, the weather in Lahore and nearby areas is expected to remain pleasant, creating ideal conditions for festival activities.

PDMA said that from February 6 to 8, the weather in Lahore will remain dry, while the sky is expected to stay partly cloudy. This weather is considered favorable for outdoor celebrations, especially kite flying, which is a key part of Basant.

The spokesperson said that during Basant days, the temperature in Lahore is likely to remain between 20 and 22 degrees Celsius. This moderate temperature will provide comfortable conditions for people participating in festival events.

PDMA also advised citizens to follow safety precautions during Basant celebrations. People have been warned to stay careful while flying kites, especially near electric wires and rooftops, to avoid accidents. Authorities stressed the importance of using proper safety measures.

The spokesperson further warned citizens to completely avoid using metal strings, chemical coated strings, and illegal kite flying materials. Motorcycle riders have been strongly advised to wear helmets and use safety rods to prevent injuries.

Meanwhile, PDMA also predicted rain in northern districts and snowfall in mountainous areas between February 6 and 8. Due to rain and snowfall, temperatures are expected to drop, and cold weather may increase in upper regions. Citizens in these areas have been advised to remain cautious.

The pleasant weather may increase Basant celebrations this year. More people may join outdoor activities. However, safety risks still remain. Authorities are focusing on prevention. Careful behavior can help avoid accidents.
