LAHORE: (Suno News) The Punjab Police announced the recruitment of 6,000 constables and lady constables across the province.

To ensure transparency and merit in the recruitment process, applications have been invited from candidates.

How to apply

According to police officials, individuals interested in applying can download the online form from the Punjab Police website between January 11 and 25. To submit the application, candidates are required to submit the form along with a service charge of Rs300 at the concerned district office.

Eligibility

Regarding eligibility, the issued guidelines state that candidates must be residents of the Punjab province and the respective district. Furthermore, possessing Computerized National Identity Card (NIC) is also mandatory. No concessions will be given to candidates during the recruitment process to ensure transparency.

Qualification and height

According to height requirements, the minimum height for male candidates is set at 5 feet 7 inches, and for female candidates, it is set at 5 feet 2 inches. Regarding educational qualifications, candidates must have obtained at least 50% marks in their secondary board examination. The age limit has been set between 18 to 25 years.

A high-level board has been formed to oversee the recruitment process. The board will consist of the Deputy Inspector General (DIG) as Chairman, the relevant Chief Police Officer (CPO) or District Police Officer (DPO) as secretary, and Superintendent of Police (SP) as a member. The recruitment schedule for all districts will be issued by the Central Police Office.

According to Punjab Police, these recruitments aim to increase the workforce within the department and provide better services to the public. Candidates are advised to submit their applications with complete and accurate details within the prescribed dates.
