
In a direct telephone call to Pakistan’s Ambassador to Iran, Mudassar Tipu, Federal Minister for Overseas Pakistanis Chaudhry Salik Hussain instructed that every possible measure must be taken to facilitate and secure the return of Pakistanis. He emphasized that the safety and well-being of all overseas citizens is the government’s top priority.
Ambassador Mudassar Tipu confirmed that Pakistani diplomatic staff in Iran are actively working round the clock to expedite the return process. He assured the minister that Pakistani nationals are being provided all necessary support.
To assist in emergencies, the Pakistani embassy in Iran has released dedicated helpline numbers. These are intended to provide immediate assistance to Pakistanis in distress and ensure no one is left without support.
Minister Salik Hussain reiterated that special attention is being paid to pilgrims, students, and those residing in Iran for employment purposes. He acknowledged that thousands of Pakistanis are currently in Iran and their safe repatriation is critical.
The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis is closely coordinating with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to implement a smooth and swift evacuation strategy. Both ministries are jointly working on logistics and diplomatic channels to bring the citizens back home safely.
