PTI ends backdoor communications with NA Speaker Ayaz Sadiq
ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has ended its backdoor communications with the National Assembly Speaker Ayaz Sadiq.

Barrister Gohar and Asad Qaiser had previously been in contact with Speaker Ayaz Sadiq, but these talks have now been called off.

As per sources, both leaders had requested the formation of a judicial commission to resume talks. However, despite PTI pulling out of the discussions, Ayaz Sadiq chose not to dissolve the government committee.

In an interview, PTI Senator Ali Zafar said that talks with the government were already over, adding that if the government wishes to continue discussions, that decision lies with them.

He clarified that PTI has not made any formal demands from the government but indicated that if the government acknowledges these demands in writing, the matter could be brought back to PTI leadership for consideration on whether to resume talks.

According to a spokesperson for the National Assembly, Speaker Ayaz Sadiq had not extended any formal invitation for negotiations to PTI. The spokesperson emphasised that Ayaz Sadiq only mentioned that his door is open to all.
