ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Chief Minister CM Ali Amin Gandapur has ‘banned’ entry of Governor Faisal Karim Kundi in the apartment reserved for the governor in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa House.

Confirming the chief minister’s development, KP Information Adviser Barrister Saif said the decision had been taken during a meeting of the provincial cabinet. The purpose of the move was to address the pressing accommodation issues faced by ministers and members of the KP Assembly, he detailed.

Barrister Saif said that for the governor, an alternative accommodation was being arranged at the KP House, adding that till then, the governor should stay at Sindh House.

Last Saturday, the KP chief minister warned the governor against giving political statements and engaging in confrontation.

Addressing the governor, he said: "I am giving a warning, the post of governor is constitutional, avoid political statements and confrontation."

His remarks came after Kundi responded to his statement on attacking the KP governor's house.

Addressing a gathering held by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in Dera Ismail Khan, the CM said he was not afraid of the governor’s rule in KP. However, he had added, if governor’s rule was imposed in KP, the people would occupy both the Governor’s House and CM House.

Kundi then replied that he knew how to protect the Governor's House if Gandapur attacked it.
