LAHORE (Web Desk): Nadra has introduced a brand-new digital service in its Pak ID mobile app to help citizens register births and deaths without hassle.

The service has been launched initially in three districts of Punjab – Jhelum, Chakwal and Nankana Sahib. These areas were chosen on priority because normal administrative operations were disrupted due to recent floods.

With this new feature, citizens no longer need to visit union council offices. Instead, they can apply for registration directly through the mobile app, upload required documents and even track the status of their case online.

According to Nadra officials, the authority is working with local administrations to expand this facility across the entire country. Preparations in other provinces have already started, and the service will be rolled out nationwide once administrative steps are complete.

Officials further explained that this initiative is part of Nadra’s wider digitalization strategy. The goal is to simplify civic facilities, reduce paperwork and make services more convenient for people.

This step is a game-changer for citizens. No more waiting in long lines or dealing with paperwork. With just a mobile app, vital registrations can now be done quickly and transparently. If expanded nationwide, it will not only save time but also reduce corruption and inefficiency. For ordinary people, this truly feels like a relief in the digital age.
