(Web Desk) Defence Minister Khawaja Asif has decided to file a complaint with London police against the incident of “harassment and threats” in the city.

The Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has also decided to submit a report of the incident to the London police. Sources said that the party has decided to take strict legal action over the harassment and heckling of the defence minister in London.

A day earlier, the Defence Minister confirmed that he had been threatened with a knife attack in the British capital on the Tube near Heathrow airport by a Pakistani citizen.

The defence minister had been threatened with a knife attack while he was travelling with a friend on the London Underground’s Elizabeth Line on Monday afternoon, according to Geo News.

The defence minister said, “I was threatened. The matter will be reported to the police and that process is underway. Some of the faces are recognisable. The video shows the faces.”

Earlier, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had condemned the heckling and harassment of Asif in London. Mr Sharif also expressed his anger over the threats and foul language hurled at the minister.

It has also been revealed that the Pakistan High Commission in London was unaware of the arrival of Khawaja Asif. Afterwards, the Pakistani authorities were informed about the untoward incident.
