
According to the Foreign Office, Ishaq Dar will meet with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio during his visit to the United States, which will take place today at the State Department.
The meeting will discuss various aspects of Pak-US relations, with a particular focus on promoting trade, investment, and economic cooperation.

On this occasion, the two leaders will also discuss regional and global issues of mutual interest.
During his visit to Washington, Ishaq Dar will also address the leading American think tank, The Atlantic Council, where he will shed light on Pakistan s position, the regional situation, and the future of Pak-US relations.

A day earlier, Dar said cooperation between the United Nations and regional organisations such as the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) is indispensable. He was presiding over a meeting of the UN Security Council on cooperation between the two world bodies on Thursday.
DPM Dar said that the cooperation between the United Nations and the OIC is firmly based on Chapter VIII of the UN Charter, which highlights the significance of regional arrangements in supporting the Security Council s primary responsibility for maintaining international peace and security.
