
On the occasion, UHE Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Faleeha Zahra Kazmi threw light on the depth of Pakistan-Iran relations, stating that the shared culture, knowledge, and literature of both countries was the heritage of the region.
She said that the leadership of both countries needed to strengthen bilateral ties to deal with regional and global issues and the common threat of terrorism.
Iranian First Lady Dr Jamileh Alamolhoda highlighted the strong historical, cultural, and religious bilateral relations between Pakistan and Iran.
She informed the participants of the ceremony about Iran’s agenda to strengthen relations with Pakistan to increase bilateral cooperation in various sectors.
She also highlighted the importance of women’s education, stating that educational institutions for women in Iran and Pakistan provided ample opportunities for women to excel.
On the occasion, the UHE vice chancellor presented a special shield to Iranian First Lady Dr Jamileh Alamolhoda. A large number of students, teachers, and government officials attended the ceremony.
It is to be noted here that Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi arrived in Pakistan on April 22 on a three-day official visit.
During the three-day visit, meetings were held on various issues i.e. strengthening of Pak-Iran relations and promotion of relations in various fields including agriculture, trade, communication, energy, and public relations.
