The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced a scheduled system upgrade on November 2, 2025 (Sunday), aimed at improving its services and enhancing the overall user experience for citizens in Pakistan and abroad. The upgrade is part of NADRA’s ongoing commitment to provide smoother, faster, and more secure digital services.
According to an official notice, the Pak ID mobile application may experience limited functionality between 8:00 a.m. and 8:30 a.m. during the upgrade. NADRA clarified that only certain features of the app could be temporarily affected, and users are advised to plan their transactions accordingly.
In addition, NADRA services at Pakistan’s diplomatic missions abroad will be suspended for the day, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., while the system upgrade is carried out. Services at these missions are expected to resume as soon as the maintenance work is completed. Citizens requiring urgent assistance are advised to contact local offices ahead of time to avoid inconvenience.
The authority emphasized that these measures are necessary to enhance the reliability and security of digital platforms, including the Pak ID app, which provides key services such as CNIC verification, online applications, and identity management. NADRA has assured users that the downtime will be minimal and that the upgrades will lead to faster processing times, improved system stability, and enhanced data security across its services.
