Justice Raja Inam Ameen Minhas said that airing awareness campaigns at 1 a.m. defeats their purpose. He instructed that all anti-drug content should be shown in prime-time slots to maximize impact.
The court also ordered Islamabad Police, the Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF), and the Private School Regulatory Authority (PEIRA) to create a joint plan to prevent drug use among students.
PEIRA reported that strict action will be taken against school heads if drugs are found among students, staff, or canteen workers.
Delivery boys and courier services have also been banned from entering schools to stop smuggling of drugs.
Data in court showed that the ANF registered 51 drug-related cases in Islamabad’s schools during 2025, while police recorded 22 cases of drug recovery.
