The bilateral meeting took place on the sidelines of the Second World Summit for Social Development, being held in the Qatari capital, Doha, from November 4 to 6. President Zardari is representing Pakistan at the event.

Recalling his recent visit to China, President Zardari emphasized that Pakistan and China are “iron brothers and all-weather strategic cooperative partners.”
He thanked China for its consistent and unwavering support to Pakistan through all challenges, reaffirming that friendship with China remains the cornerstone of Pakistan’s foreign policy.
The President also lauded China’s continued partnership the Presidency Secretariat, President Zardari is scheduled to hold key meetings with regional leaders and representatives of multilateral forums during his visit.in the successful implementation of the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), which has now entered its second phase of high-quality development.
For his part, Vice President Han Zheng appreciated Pakistan’s efforts in combating terrorism and promoting regional peace and stability, reaffirming the enduring strength of the Pakistan-China friendship.
He also conveyed President Xi Jinping’s warm greetings to President Zardari.
Han Zheng reiterated that China will continue to support Pakistan’s economic growth under the second phase of CPEC, particularly in the areas of transport and infrastructure, information technology, agriculture, and vocational training.

Both leaders reaffirmed their resolve to further deepen the all-weather strategic cooperative partnership based on mutual trust, respect, and a shared vision for regional peace and prosperity.
They also agreed to maintain close cooperation on issues of mutual interest at regional and international fora.
President Zardari was accompanied by MNA Aseefa Bhutto-Zardari, PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to Qatar during the meeting.
