ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): A blast occurred in the Supreme Court basement canteen after a gas cylinder exploded, leaving four people injured.

According to initial reports, the blast occurred when a gas cylinder suddenly burst inside the canteen, creating a loud explosion that was heard from a long distance. The incident caused panic among people present in the Supreme Court building.

Rescue 1122 and fire brigade teams quickly arrived at the scene and began relief operations. Rescue officials said the injured were promptly shifted to hospital where they are being treated.

Meanwhile, security personnel cordoned off the entire area and restricted entry for unrelated individuals.

Police officials said early investigations suggest the blast was caused by a gas leak. However, a detailed inquiry is still underway to confirm the exact cause of blast n supreme court.

Rescue teams have also removed other gas cylinders from the canteen as a safety precaution to prevent any further incidents.

Authorities confirmed there was no loss of life, though part of the canteen suffered damage due to the explosion.
