ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that the nation will observe Youm-e-Tashakur in recognition of Pakistan’s resolute response to Indian aggression and the success of Operation Bunyan Marsoos.

The day will be marked to express gratitude to Allah Almighty, honour the extraordinary bravery of the armed forces, and celebrate the unity of the nation.

According to a statement from the Media Wing of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Prime Minister said that Operation Bunyan un Marsoos delivered a strong and effective response to enemy aggression, demonstrating Pakistan’s superiority on all fronts.

He noted that despite India’s provocations, Pakistan upheld its defense with determination and showed complete preparedness to face the situation.

Prime Minister Sharif urged the public and religious scholars (Ulema) to offer special prayers and Nawafil nationwide.

He also called for prayers in remembrance of the martyrs and Ghazis, stating that their sacrifices are eternal and the nation stands firmly with them.

In retaliation to unprovoked Indian strikes, the Pakistan armed forces launched a military operation, named ‘Bunyan un Marsoos,’ targeting multiple military installations in India.

Later, US President Donald Trump officially announced that both Pakistan and India agreed to a ceasefire, crediting the success to smart and timely decisions by both nations — with a clear nod to Pakistan’s role in de-escalating the conflict.
