ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The federal government decided to launch feeder bus services on three new routes in Islamabad.

Chief Commissioner and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman Muhammad Ali Randhawa directed the officials to launch feeder bus services on three new routes - Rawat Chowk to Secretariat, Tarnol to Secretariat, Bahria Town to Pirwadhai.

CDA Chairman Randhawa presided over the meeting regarding launching new feeder bus services for new routes. CDA officials and others attended the meeting. Commissioner Randhawa also directed the introduction of a card system for weekly and monthly commuters.

CDA Chairman Randhawa said that work on the feeder bus services between Tarnol and the Secretariat, Bahria Town and Pirwadhai, and Rawat Chowk and the Secretariat would start soon.

He stressed that the planning of these bus routes should ensure they cover the crucial locations in Islamabad, including major centres, universities, hospitals, and other important areas.

Randhawa also instructed that subsidies be provided for deserving groups, including senior citizens. Moreover, he suggested incorporating technology to improve commuter convenience.
