Senior police officials, including the District Police Officer (DPO), District Traffic Officer (DTO), Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP), and local Station House Officer (SHO), arrived at the scene with their teams and cordoned off the area to begin investigations.
Initial police reports suggest over-speeding and possible brake failure as the likely causes of the crash. Both vehicles were removed using cranes to restore traffic flow on the highway.
Eyewitnesses stated that the bus driver attempted to avoid a suddenly appearing trailer, but due to the short distance, a collision was inevitable.
Local citizens have expressed deep sorrow over the incident and urged the government to strictly enforce traffic laws on national highways to prevent such tragedies in the future.
