KARACHI (Web Desk): The Sindh government has announced a public holiday on December 27 in observance of the martyrdom anniversary of Benazir Bhutto.

According to the notification, December 27 will be a public holiday across the province.

Earlier, the Sindh government requested a helicopter from the federal government for the 17th martyrdom anniversary of Benazir Bhutto. The Sindh Home Department wrote to the Ministry of Interior, requesting a helicopter for reconnaissance at Garhi Khuda Bakhsh on the anniversary.

Meanwhile, the Islamabad High Court (IHC) has announced its winter vacation from December 24, 2024, to January 8, 2025. The notification was issued with the approval of Chief Justice Aamer Farooq.

The Deputy Registrar of IHC issued the notification. According to the notification, December 24 and January 8 are included in the holidays. Regular hearings in the Islamabad High Court will resume on January 9.
