Peshawar-bound Jaffer Express attacked in Balochistan
QUETTA: (Suno News) There are reports of heavy firing on the Jaffer Express between Gudal and Piro Kanri area in Balochistan.

The train was destined to Peshawar. The incident prompted provincial government to declare an emergency at the Sibi hospital.

Balochistan government spokesperson Shahid Rand said that ambulances have been dispatched to the site, but access to the location is challenging due to the mountainous and difficult terrain.

The railway department has also sent a relief train to the site.

Shahid Rand mentioned that security forces are heading toward the area. The nature of the incident and the potential terrorist aspects are being assessed. Initial reports suggest that the incident may be linked to terrorism.

Investigations are ongoing, and the Balochistan government has issued directives for emergency measures. The government urges public to remain peaceful and not pay attention to rumors.
