Pakistan launches first locally assembled ventilator
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): Pakistan launched the first locally manufactured ventilator, achieving a major milestone in technological growth.

During a ceremony, Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Ahsan Iqbal has unveiled the ventilator.

The minister described the launching a transformative step for the country’s innovation landscape. The ventilator developed by a private company under the Uraan Pakistan initiative. The development underscores Pakistan’s commitment to develop homegrown technology. Iqbal lauded the firm’s efforts, referring to it as a “trailblazer for Uraan Pakistan.” He urged the developers and other firms to start innovations to improve Pakistan in technological realm.

Ahsan Iqbal emphasised the importance of collaboration to reshape the country’s future as it approaches its centenary in 2047. While expressing confidence in the country’s ability to outpace competitors in the region, Planning Minister underscored the potential emerging technologies under the Fourth Industrial Revolution.

He also called for consistency in policies and long-term reforms, drawing inspiration from nations like Japan and South Korea.

He mentioned the target of the government to increase exports to $100 billion within the next decade, highlighting the important role of the private sector in driving growth.
