Eligibility:
· A business registered outside Moldova must be run by the applicant, or they must work remotely for a foreign employer.
· Between US$1,500–2,000 per month is the minimum income requirement.
Other required documents include:
· Valid passport (six months beyond planned stay)
· Proof of remote employment or contracts
· One year of medical insurance
· Clean criminal record certificate
· Proof of accommodation in Moldova
· Four recent passport-style photos
· Translations into Romanian and document legalization are required.
Costs & Technical Details:
· Processing fees are estimated to be between €40–€80.
· The application process is overseen by the Bureau of Migration and Asylum. Once the official government portal (Moldova eVisa) launches, applicants are expected to submit online or in person.
· Applicants must register locally with migration authorities after approval and may receive a Moldovan residence card.
The required monthly income (US$1,500–2,000) is relatively modest compared to many European nations, making Moldova a more accessible option for Pakistani digital professionals.
