(Web Desk): The truth behind a video of renowned religious scholar Maulana Tariq Jameel giving a speech in support of former Prime Minister Imran Khan at a mosque in Malaysia recently circulating on social media has come to light.

According to details, Maulana Tariq Jameel’s translator strongly denied the video, calling it false and misleading. He said that the video that went viral on social media is fake, in which Maulana Tariq Jameel’s old audio is presented in conjunction with a recent Malaysian speech.

The translator explained, "I myself was present at the scene at that time. Maulana Tariq Jameel did not say anything about Imran Khan or any political figure. This video is an attempt to mislead the public and has nothing to do with reality."

He appealed to the public not to spread the video further but to inform others about its fakeness. He said, "This is a fitnah, and spreading lies on social media is not appropriate in any way. May Allah bless us all."

Maulana Tariq Jameel has also issued a clarification on social media platform X (formerly Twitter). He wrote, "My speech at a mosque in Malaysia is being shared with old audio. The original message of the video has been changed by adding the sound of applause and political connotations, which is completely wrong and against integrity."

He further said that the Malaysian statement s spokesperson has also issued a clarification on the matter, which confirms that the viral video has been edited.

It should be remembered that in the viral video, Maulana Tariq Jameel was shown saying: "Everyone should pray for Imran Khan. Allah has given us a great and excellent ruler. I am very close to him. I have never seen a ruler so sincere, true, honest, and religiously sensitive."

But the authenticity of this video was rejected not only by Maulana Tariq Jameel but also by his close associates and representatives of the Malaysian mosque, and it is being described as an organized conspiracy to mislead the public.
