ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony on Wednesday declared that the mandatory registration process for the Hajj will continue till July 9.

Either pilgrims can register via the 15 designated banks across the nation or through the ministry’s official online portal. The ministry stated that "Only registered individuals will be eligible to apply under either the government or private Hajj scheme."

Moreover, overseas Pakistanis that have a valid Pakistani passport are requested to complete their registration immediately through the online portal.

According to the ministry’s spokesperson, the option to participate in the government or private Hajj scheme can be availed of by pilgrims that are registered under the Ministry of Religious Affairs.

Registration is mandatory for all pilgrims from Pakistan that want to perform Hajj in 2026 and for government-sponsored and private Hajj applicants as well.

The Government of Pakistan requires all intending Hajj pilgrims to register via an official process managed by the Ministry of Religious Affairs. This makes sure that proper documentation, biometric verification, and allocation under the government or private Hajj schemes.

Registration is must meet Saudi Arabia’s Hajj quota system and to ensure travel, accommodation, and health arrangements. The process includes passport submission, vaccination records, and payment of fees.

The initiation of the process has been done beforehand following Saudi directives to make sure the completion of administration arrangements and logistics is done in time, as many people raised concerns previously. This early ignition will help prevent delays.
