Independently, the government of Punjab has announced setting up modern resting points at six locations along the Lahore Ring Road. These will have facilities such as food stands, toilets, and parking bays, hoping to enhance convenience for long-distance commuters. The construction process on these stations is likely to commence shortly.
The authorities have urged residents to abide by traffic diversions and be patient during the repair time.
