KARACHI (Web Desk): All-Private Schools Management Association Sindh (APSMA) has declared that all schools in the city will remain open on Friday.

The All-Private Schools Management Association Sindh (APSMA) has confirmed that no official order has been received from the Sindh government to close schools in Karachi.

In an official notice to schools, APSMA stated that all private schools in Karachi will remain open on Friday, August 22.

The association said the provincial government has not issued any closure notice, especially as the weather is improving in the city.

APSMA asked school management to continue classes but also to take care of the safety of students, teachers, and staff.

This announcement comes as the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has warned of heavy rains in Karachi and Hyderabad from August 24 to 28.

The NDMA also said these rains could cause flooding in low-lying areas.

Karachi has faced severe rain over the past three days, causing major damage to roads and infrastructure.

Sadly, at least 20 people have died due to rain-related incidents. Many areas lost electricity after power lines were damaged.

Because of the heavy rain and damage, the Sindh government declared a public holiday on Wednesday and advised people to stay indoors and avoid traveling unless necessary.

This news highlights the challenge Karachi faces with heavy monsoon rains disrupting daily life.

Despite the damage and loss caused by the recent rains, authorities are trying to balance safety with normalcy by keeping schools open while urging caution.

The APSMA’s message shows the importance of clear communication between government bodies and educational institutions to avoid confusion.

The upcoming rainfall warning from NDMA also signals that the city needs to prepare better for urban flooding and infrastructure damage.

This situation stresses the need for improved disaster management and timely updates for residents and schools alike.
