
As per sources, the JIT formed by the federal government, summoned Barrister Gohar, Salman Akram Raja, Raoof Hassan, Waqas Akram, Firdous Shamim Naqvi, Muhammad Khalid Khurshid Khan, Hammad Azhar, Aun Abbas, Aliya Hamza Malik, Mian Muhammad Aslam Iqbal, Muhammad Shahbaz Shabbir, Kanwal Shozab, Asad Qaiser, Taimur Salim Khan, and Shah Farman.
The JIT issued notices to the PTI leaders, seeking the clarifications from these PTI leaders regarding the issue. The sources state that the JIT has substantial evidence implicating these individuals in the matter.
The federal government established the JIT through a notification F.No.8/9/2024-FIA/ under Section 30 of the Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016.
The JIT, headed by Islamabad Inspector General of Police is launching a probe against individuals accused of anti-Pakistan rhetoric.
