In a short press briefing, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General Lt General Ahmed Sharif Chaudhry said that Pakistan shot down 12 Indian drones. Pakistan armed forces destroyed drones in parts of the country including Lahore, Gujranwala, Chakwal, and Sindh, ISPR DG stated.
According to military sources, the drone was flying at a high altitude when it tried to enter Pakistani territory. The air defence system stationed in Gujranwala Cantonment responded promptly, engaging the target and successfully bringing it down.
Sources said the drone was intercepted as it entered the city’s airspace, prompting a rapid response from the cantonment s air defence unit. Two precise rounds were fired, effectively neutralizing the aerial threat near the perimeter of the cantonment.

Reports indicate that the drone was headed toward Gujranwala when it was shot down. Its wreckage later fell near the village of Dinga in the Gujrat district.
Police confirmed that after receiving reports of debris, law enforcement teams, including police units, rushed to the site and secured the remains from the fields of Pir Jhanda village. The wreckage has been seized for forensic analysis to determine the drone’s specifications and origin.
Thankfully, there have been no reports of injuries or damage to civilian property.
Authorities have launched a full investigation to understand the nature of the drone and the motive behind the attempted airspace intrusion.
