
The van was travelling from Sukkur to Sehwan. Before rescue personnel arrived and moved the victims to the Gambat Institute of Medical Sciences (GIMS), locals rushed to the severely damaged car and removed the lifeless and injured, they claimed.
According to hospital sources, the deceased have been identified as,Arshad Bhatti (35), the van driver ,Shama Begum (60),Mai Zohra Khatoon (18),Safia (30), Owais Jatoi (4) from,Ghulam Haider Mangnejo , all of them belongs to different towns of Sindh.
The injured passengers were identified as Ms Manzooran, Rahat Khatoon, Haider Ali, Wazir Ali, Kainat, Asif Ali, Azman, Sajjan, Samad, Rafiq Ali, Mohammad Ali, Ms Samai Khatoon, Zohaib Ali, Ms Maria, Ms Parveen, and Ms Tawheeda. All were shifted to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment.
Rescue teams and police reached the scene shortly after the incident and launched relief efforts. Authorities say overspeeding and tyre failure are likely causes of the accident.

According to media reports, Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah took notice of the accident and directed Sukkur commissioner to ensure the injured received the best possible medical care.
He expressed sorrow over the loss of lives in the accident and offered condolences to the bereaved families who had lost their loved ones.
