Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur launched the app, created on an emergency basis by the KP Information Technology Board and integrated with the provincial service delivery platform, Dastak.
The application enables flood victims to post records of property loss and make compensation claims online. Payments verified will directly go into beneficiaries bank accounts.
Officials pointed out that the app relies on an open and automated system, with geo-tagging and automatic verification to ensure that there is no misinformation or false claims. A special dashboard will also give the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, and concerned authorities real-time updates on damages and compensation payments.
