19 more PTI lawmakers resign from committees

(Web Desk): 18 more Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf members of the National Assembly and one Senator Mohsin Aziz resigned from the standing committees.

Following the directives of PTI founder and former Prime Minister Imran Khan, 18 PTI members of the National Assembly and one Senator resigned from the standing committees, taking the number of PTI members who resigned to 47. However, the senators will continue to work in the committees of the upper house.

All members submitted their resignations to Aamir Dogar and the Secretary National Assembly. Junaid Akbar Khan resigned from the Public Accounts Committee, Sanaullah Mastikhel from Inter-Provincial Coordination, Aamir Dogar from Religious Affairs, Dr. Azamuddin Lakhvi from Education and Professional Training, Javed Iqbal from Defense Production, while Haji Imtiaz Ahmed Chaudhry resigned from the chairmanship of the Standing Committee on Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan.

Those who resigned from the membership of the standing committees include Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, Junaid Akbar, Aamir Dogar, Ali Asghar, Chengiz Kakar, Syed Raza Gilani, Shehryar Afridi, Jamal Ahsan Khan, Faisal Amin Khan, Owais Haider Jhekar, Mehboob Shah, Amjad Ali Khan, Sahibzada Sibghatullah, Prince Gustasib, Ali Jadoon, Anwar Taj, Fazal Muhammad Khan, Mujahid Ali, Sajid Khan, Arbab Aamir Ayub, Asif Khan, Arshad Sahi, Shabbir Qureshi, Sheikh Waqas Akram, Adil Bazai, Ali Muhammad Khan, Khurram Munawar Manj, Umair Khan Niazi, Shahram Khan, Dawar Kundi, Sanaullah Mastikhel, Zain Qureshi, Aniqa Mehdi, Dr. Azamuddin Lakhvi, Osama Hamza, Javed Iqbal, Shandana Gulzar, Khurram Shahzad Virk, Mian Faizul Hassan, Shahid Ahmed, Aslam Ghuman, Syed Shah Ahad Ali Shah, Zubair Khan, Haji Imtiaz Chaudhry, Malik Shafqat Abbas and Yousaf Khan.

Senator Mohsin Aziz resigned from the PAC and submitted his resignation to the Speaker of the National Assembly. PTI informed that the resignations of the remaining members will also be submitted in the current session, however, the National Assembly Secretariat has not yet issued any notification regarding the approval of the resignations.
