RIYADH (Web Desk): Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir has been awarded Saudi Arabia’s highest honour, the King Abdulaziz Medal, during an official visit.

According to Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met Saudi Defence Minister Prince Khalid bin Salman during his visit to the Kingdom.

The meeting focused on issues of mutual interest between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.

ISPR said both sides also discussed the regional security situation and cooperation in defence and military fields.

The talks further covered strategic partnership and emerging geo-strategic challenges faced by the region.

ISPR added that during the medal award ceremony, both countries reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthen Pakistan-Saudi relations.
