Munich (Web Desk): Field Marshal and Chief of Defense Forces Syed Asim Munir visited Germany to participate in meetings held alongside the 62nd Munich Security Conference.

During his visit, he met several international leaders and officials to discuss important global and regional security issues.

CDF Asim Munir held talks with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio. The discussion focused on matters of mutual interest, including global and regional security dynamics and cooperation in counterterrorism efforts.

He also met senior German officials, including Federal Interior Minister Alexander Dobrindt, Foreign Policy and Security Adviser to the German Chancellor Günter Sautter, and General Carsten Breuer, Chief of Defence of the German Armed Forces.

These meetings centered on current security challenges, strengthening bilateral defence ties, and promoting peace through dialogue at both bilateral and multilateral levels.

In addition, CDF Asim Munir held discussions with Admiral Renato Rodrigues de Aguiar Freire, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Brazilian Armed Forces. They talked about enhancing military cooperation between Pakistan and Brazil.

General Rodolph Haykal, Commander of the Lebanese Armed Forces, also met CDF Asim Munir. Both sides exchanged views on the global and regional security environment and explored ways to improve defence collaboration.

The visit highlighted Pakistan’s active diplomatic and military engagement on international platforms focused on peace and stability.
