Pakistan, Bahrain discuss bilateral cooperation, regional security landscape

RAWALPINDI: (Suno News) Pakistan and Bahrain discussed matters of mutual interest, the regional security landscape, and avenues for strengthening bilateral military cooperation.

His Highness General Sheikh Mohammed Bin Isa Bin Salman Al Khalifa, Commander of the National Guard of the Kingdom of Bahrain, called on Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Syed Asim Munir at General Headquarters (GHQ), according to the Inter-Services Public Relatins (ISPR).

“During the meeting,” the military’s media affairs wing said, “both leaders engaged in discussions on matters of mutual interest, the regional security landscape, and avenues for strengthening bilateral military cooperation.”

The COAS underscored the significance of enhanced collaboration in addressing shared security challenges and fostering peace and stability in the region, the ISPR said in a statement.

The visiting dignitary lauded the professionalism of the Pakistan Armed Forces and commended their unwavering efforts in combating terrorism, it concluded.
