ISLAMABAD: (Web Desk) A special court has adjourned the hearing of the Toshakhana case against PTI founder Imran Khan until February 27.

The hearing was adjourned without any proceedings.

The staff of the special court officially told the parties that Special Judge Central Shahrukh Arjumand had postponed the hearing.

So far, the court has recorded the statements of eight witnesses, and the cross-examination of all of them has been completed.

At the previous hearing, Imran Khan s counsel cross-examined the eighth witness. He filed a petition requesting an open trial instead of a jail trial.

The petitioner also sought to pause the hearing until a decision is made on the request for an open trial.

The court has issued notices to the parties regarding the plea for an open trial, with the superintendent of Adiala Jail, the FIA, and the Punjab Home Department named as respondents.
