The cases filed against former first lady regarding protest, staged by Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on November 26 in Islamabad.
Bushra Bibi appealed court to grant interim bail in the cases registered at Tarnol and Ramna police stations.
Duty Judge Shabeer Bhatti presided over the hearing. Bushra Bibi appeared in the court accompanied by her counsel. The duty judge approved her interim bail until January 13 against surety bonds worth Rs50,000 each.
The cases registered against Bushra Bibi pertain to alleged violations during the PTI protest.
The court adjourned the hearing until January 13 after approving her interim bail.
As per details, PTI founder’s spouse sought bail in total of 32 cases, including 23 regarding May 9 violence.
Faisal Malik, her counsel, described the cases against former first lady as politically motivated, arguing that these are ‘politically motivated and aimed at vengeance’.
