This initiative supports the Prime Minister’s vision of a Cashless Pakistan, encouraging digital payments and financial inclusion.
The inauguration was led by Muhammad Ali Randhawa, CDA Chairman and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, along with Noman Azhar, Chief Officer Zindigi, and other senior officials.
The Cashless Bazaar allows customers and merchants to make instant digital payments using Zindigi P2M merchants’ Raast QR codes, making transactions easier and faster.
The H-9 Sunday Market, near Peshawar Mor, is one of Islamabad’s largest markets and attracts thousands of visitors every week. The market offers a wide range of products, including fresh produce, clothing, household items, and electronics.
Ali Randhawa said, “The vision of a Cashless Pakistan is an important step toward economic growth. Islamabad is setting an example with the Cashless Bazaar, using QR codes and digital payments to make the city more modern and financially inclusive.”
Noman Azhar added, “Through partnerships between the government and private companies, we aim to create a system that makes payments safe, easy, and fully cashless.”

The event was attended by senior government officials, representatives from the State Bank of Pakistan, and teams from Zindigi, CDA, and MCI.
The launch of the Cashless Bazaar is a key step in achieving the vision of a Cashless Pakistan, providing a model for other cities to follow and encouraging digital payments across the country.
