The United States has announced an expansion in educational opportunities for Pakistani students by launching new scholarship programs. The move is aimed at giving young Pakistanis greater access to quality education and global exposure.
Speaking on a private TV show, US Chargé d’Affaires Natalie A Baker said the Fulbright Scholarship program in Pakistan is running successfully. She described it as a people-focused initiative that helps students gain education while also learning about each other’s cultures.
She said the US government is fully supporting Pakistani students in the field of education and has already introduced multiple scholarship programs. Natalie A Baker stressed that Pakistani students have strong potential and can prove their skills on the global stage.
Sharing her personal connection with Pakistan, the US diplomat said Pakistani culture and traditions are close to her heart. She added that she considers Pakistan her second home and expressed her desire to visit the northern areas, including Hunza and Fairy Meadows.
She further said the US is also working to promote education in Pakistan’s border regions. According to her, progress is underway on an important education development project in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. She said Pakistani youth are the country’s bright future, and empowering them through education remains a top priority.
