Punjab unveils revised syllabus for grades 1-3

LAHORE (Web Desk): The Punjab School Education Department has unveiled a revised syllabus for grades 1-3 to simplify learning and enhance student understanding.

The new updated curriculum focuses on essential student learning outcomes (SLOs) while excluding all unnecessary material that overburdened children.

Officials said that the new syllabus will make it easier for students to grasp key concepts, to improve their comprehension skills and overall quality of early education.

This initiative is part of a broader effort to make primary education more practical, engaging, and student-friendly.

In addition to grades 1-3, the Punjab Examination Commission for Textbook and Curriculum Authority (PECTA) has released a revised version of the grade nine smart syllabus, for subjects like Chemistry, Physics, Biology, and Computer Science to make education easy for students.

Authorities are planning to release the revised syllabus for grade eleven next week, continuing the ongoing improvement efforts.

Education experts believe this updated syllabus will reduce stress on young learners, help teachers focus on core concepts, and create a more effective learning environment.
