According to details, the holiday has been declared to mark the birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, the Founder of Pakistan, and the Christian religious festival of Christmas. Government sources said that an official notification will be issued shortly, after which all relevant departments will receive formal instructions for implementation.
As per the announcement, all government offices, semi-government institutions, educational institutions, banks, and most private offices will remain closed on December 25. Due to the holiday, routine official and banking activities will stay suspended for the day. Every year, seminars, ceremonies, and special events are organized nationwide to pay tribute to his leadership, vision, and services to the country.
The same day is also celebrated as Christmas by the Christian community. The festival symbolizes peace, joy, and brotherhood, and is observed with religious services and social gatherings across the country.
