(Web Desk): The Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) has unveiled a fully digitized system for registration, licensing and the management of all medical examinations.

The newly launched Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP)-based platform replaces outdated manual procedures with seamless online services. PMDC new digital system hails as a landmark step toward transparency, efficiency and automation in Pakistan’s healthcare education sector.

Under the system, medical practitioners and students can now complete registration from home, track the progress of their applications in real time, and receive automatic approvals.

All major national tests, such as the National Registration Examination (NRE), National Equivalence Board (NEB) examinations and the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT), are now part of this online platform.

As per PMDC authorities, this change will relieve the administrative load on the candidates and the council, improving the fate of half a million applicants annually. The computerization will increase transparency in examination results and automate processes concerning licensing and renewals.
