ISLAMABAD: (Web desk): The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has dismissed Director General (DG) Zulfiqar Ahmed from his position after his degree was proven fake.
An official notification about his dismissal has been issued.
According to NADRA sources, the person who allegedly signed Zulfiqar Ahmed’s MBA degree was not the President of George Mason University at that time. The name of the college mentioned on his BBA degree was incorrect, as the institution’s name had changed after the issuance date mentioned on the degree.
“The findings of the HEC corroborated the information provided by NADRA,” a source familiar with the inquiry revealed. The Islamabad High Court (IHC) also upheld the HEC’s decision to cancel Zulfiqar Ahmed s degree.
Despite a show-cause notice issued by NADRA, Zulfiqar Ahmed failed to provide a satisfactory response. Following this, NADRA’s Chairman decided to take disciplinary action against him, leading to his dismissal.
