HEC degree attestation fee update for 2025
ISLAMABAD (Web Desk): The Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan has launched an online platform for individuals who want attestation of their educational documents.

As per the HEC, Pakistani citizens are required to have their educational credentials attested if they plan to apply for further studies or seek the job opportunities abroad.

To avoid visiting office, one can apply online for the degree attestation. The aspirant can apply through the official portal at https://eservices.hec.gov.pk

The HEC provides two methods for degree attestation - Walk-in mode and Authorized courier service mode.

Walk-in mode involves the submission of the documents in person or allows an authorize person to submit the required forms or degrees on one’s behalf for attestation. This mode entertains urgent applications. After an online registration, HEC conducts the initial scrutiny, after that the applicants are notified via SMS or email to schedule an appointment for the walk-in submission.

Authorized courier service method is for regular applications and serves for both local and overseas applicants. Under this method, the applicants can send their documents through designated courier service. The courier service carries responsibility of attestation process and return of the documents.

For original degrees, the HEC sets Rs1,000 per document for normal attestation, whereas attestation of each photocopy costs Rs700.

For those who want the urgent attestation, the fee is Rs3,000 per application on top of the regular attestation fee. Thus, an applicants will have to pay Rs1,000 for each original document and Rs700 for each photocopy, in addition to Rs3,000.
