Cambridge reached a milestone last month when it went over 1,000 Cambridge International Schools in South Asia, reflecting the interest in international education in the region.

Cambridge schools in South Asia increased by 16% last year, from 894 in 2023–24 to 1,034 in 2024–25. India alone contributed to over 81% of the additions made, where over 75% of all Cambridge International Schools within the region operate, followed by Bangladesh at 12%.

53% of India s Cambridge International Schools are located in Tier 1 cities, where there is high urban demand, and the south region indicates highest adoption within smaller cities. Tier 2 and Tier 3 cities together account for 47%, with clear growth in international education beyond metros.
