The Punjab Public Service Commission (PPSC) has announced new rules for candidates seeking to change their examination centers, aiming to streamline the process and ensure fairness for all applicants. The decision was finalized and approved by Chairman PPSC, Lt. Gen (Retd) Muhammad Abdul Aziz.
Under the new regulations, requests for exam center changes will only be considered under specific circumstances, including medical emergencies, clash of exam dates, marriage or death of a close relative, and for female candidates, pregnancy or childbirth. Other valid grounds include natural disasters or serious law and order situations.

Application Process and Documentation
PPSC spokesperson Kazim Muqaddas emphasized that all requests must include authentic and verifiable documentary evidence to be considered. Candidates are required to submit applications at least seven days before the scheduled written exam.
Decisions on these requests will be made based on merit and documentation, with applicants informed within three to five working days. PPSC employees who apply for center changes will have their examination center fixed in Lahore.
Secretary Afzal Ahmed reiterated that no requests will be processed without proper documentation, ensuring transparency and preventing misuse of the system.
This move comes as part of PPSC’s continued efforts to standardize examination procedures and provide flexibility to candidates facing genuine difficulties, while maintaining fairness and operational efficiency.
