HEC opens applications for Morocco scholarships 2026-27
The Higher Education Commission (HEC) has invited applications from Pakistani and Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) students for the Moroccan Government Scholarships Program 2026-27, offering an opportunity to pursue higher education in Morocco.
Under the scholarship program, the Kingdom of Morocco will provide 10 scholarships to eligible Pakistani and AJK nationals for Bachelor's, Master's, and PhD degree programs at public higher education, technical, and vocational institutions.
According to HEC, applicants must be Pakistani or AJK nationals and permanent residents of Pakistan or AJK. Dual nationality holders are not eligible to apply for the program.
Students applying for Bachelor's programs must have completed Higher Secondary School Certificate (HSSC) or an equivalent qualification. Candidates seeking admission to Master's and PhD programs must possess the relevant academic degrees required for their chosen level of study.

Applicants are also required to submit valid USAT scores for undergraduate admissions and valid HAT scores for Master's and PhD programs.
HEC noted that French is the primary language of instruction at most Moroccan universities. Students lacking sufficient French language proficiency may be required to attend preparatory language courses upon arrival.
Some academic programs, including Arabic Language and Islamic Studies, may be offered in Arabic.
Interested candidates must submit their applications online through the HEC scholarship portal by June 10, 2026. Incomplete or draft applications will not be considered.
Officials advised students to carefully review scholarship terms, including tuition support, living expenses, travel arrangements, and accreditation requirements, particularly for professional disciplines such as Medicine, Engineering, Nursing, Architecture, Law, and Veterinary Sciences.
