According to Rescue 1122, the tragic accident happened near Killi Faqir on Faisalabad Road, where a Veterinary University bus collided with a Hiace van. Nine people died on the spot, while several others were badly injured.
After receiving information, Rescue 1122 and police teams rushed to the scene. The injured and bodies were shifted to nearby hospitals, where five more people later died, taking the death toll to 14.
Regional Police Officer Faisalabad Sohail Akhtar Sakhira took notice of the incident and sought a detailed report from DPO Jhang Captain (retd) Bilal Iftikhar Kayani.
According to the RPO spokesperson, the accident occurred due to negligence by the drivers. The Hiace van travelling from Faisalabad to Jhang collided with the university bus coming from the opposite direction.

The spokesperson said that DPO Jhang and Deputy Commissioner Ali Akbar Bhunder reached the site. The injured were given first aid and then shifted to DHQ Hospital Jhang.
RPO Faisalabad directed authorities to ensure the injured receive the best possible medical treatment.
The accident highlights poor driving discipline on busy roads. Heavy traffic and careless driving remain deadly risks. Strong enforcement may help prevent such tragedies.
