According to the details, documents regarding the actions taken by the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) against human traffickers in the aftermath of boat sinking incidents over the past five years have come to light. These documents reveal that the FIA arrested 122 accused individuals in several boat sinking incidents during these five years.
The documents further indicate that due to weak cases and poor investigations, only 5 human traffickers were convicted during this period. The year 2022 saw the highest number of cases, with 105 registered. The FIA included 151 accused in the investigation, and approximately 80 cases were presented in courts. Over the five years, judicial proceedings advanced against only 68 accused, and only 5 traffickers were sentenced.
