Girl’s murder by family in TT Singh declared ‘a high profile case’

TOBA TEK SINGH (Suno News) Punjab Prosecutor General Syed Farhad Ali Shah has declared the murder of a girl by her family in Toba Tek Singh “a high profile case”.

 The Prosecutor General summoned Toba Tek Singh legal authorities including the district prosecutor on April 1 and said that under the vision of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz, the brutal murder of the woman had been declared a high profile case.

He said that the officers will be given a line of action regarding investigation and collection of evidence. He said steps would be taken to make the province crime free. The Prosecution Department would continue to play its role in eliminating crimes, he said and added that Maria Bibi was strangled to death by her brother Faisal while the victim's father Abdul Sattar and brother Shehbaz were co-accused.

The very heartbreaking incident came to light in Toba Tek Singh where the family strangled the girl to death.

A video of this incident went viral on social media. In this video, it can be seen that one brother is brutally killing his sister by strangling her, while the other is filming the entire incident with his mobile phone, and the father of both of them is sitting nearby watching the whole scene.

After the video was released on social media, the inspector general of police Punjab took notice of the incident. As a result, two accused have been arrested.
