According to police, the explosion struck the police mobile. The martyred officials were ASI Gul Alam, Constable Rafiq, and driver Sakhi Jan. Another policeman, Constable Azad Shah, survived the blast.
Soon after the attack, police and rescue teams reached the location. Rescue workers shifted the bodies to a hospital, while law-enforcement agencies started collecting evidence from the site.
Following the explosion, the DSP Panyala and the SHO also arrived, and the entire area was sealed off to prevent any escape routes for the attackers.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi and Chief Minister Suhail Afridi strongly condemned the attack. They expressed deep sorrow over the martyrdom of the three police officials and conveyed heartfelt condolences to the families. They also prayed for the quick recovery of the injured.

Governor Kundi said that the authorities stand with the families of the martyrs in their grief. He remarked that terrorist elements are enemies of peace and humanity in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and the sacrifices of police personnel will never be forgotten.
He added that terrorists who spill the blood of innocent people will be brought to justice, and such cowardly attacks cannot weaken the nation’s resolve against terrorism.
Chief Minister Afridi stated that the martyrs—including ASI Gul Alam, Constable Rafiq, and driver Sakhi Jan—have brought honour to the nation through their sacrifice. He added that despite limited resources, police officers continue to fight terrorism on the front line.
He said this was a shameful and cowardly act, but the enemy cannot break the determination of the people. The provincial government stands with its brave police force and salutes their great sacrifices. He confirmed that the struggle against terrorism will continue with full strength.
He also promised that the terrorists involved in the incident will be punished, and the provincial government will fully support the families of the martyrs.
