‘Our goal is to conduct transparent elections in Pakistan’, Jalil Abbas Jilani
New York (Suno News)- Caretaker Foreign Minister (FM) Jalil Abbas Jilani has said that our main goal is to conduct transparent and impartial elections in Pakistan, adding that economic strength is contingent upon political stability.
While giving a special interview to TRT World, Jalil Abbas Jilani said that petroleum prices hiked in the country given the surge in the international market. The Gulf countries are major partners of Pakistan and investment is being facilitated under the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC).
Jalil Abbas Jilani went on to say that there are many investment opportunities in Pakistan, the key purpose of the Special Investment Facilitation Council is to attract global investors, adding that investment targets have been set in 5 major sectors under SIFC.
The caretaker FM further stated that there will be agreements with the Gulf countries for investment in various sectors.
Emphasizing the paramount importance of China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), Jalil Abbas Jilani said that China is the best and most reliable friend of Pakistan. China has invested billions of dollars in Pakistan under CPEC. The Iron Brothers, China, and Pakistan are celebrating the 10th birthday of CPEC.
The caretaker foreign minister added that attention is being given to the agriculture and railways sectors in the next phase of CPEC.
Underscoring the sacrifices of Pakistan, Jalil Abbas Jilani said that Pakistan has made innumerable sacrifices in the war against terrorism, adding that terrorist groups operating in Pakistan have the support of neighboring countries.
