LAHORE: (Suno News) The victory of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leaders including Nawaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, and Hamza Shehbaz from the National Assembly (NA) constituencies in Lahore was Saturday challenged in the Lahore High Court (LHC).

Nawaz Sharif’s victory in NA-130 was challenged in the LHC by Pakistan Mahaz Party (PMP) candidate Ishtiaq Chaudhry Advocate.

The PMP candidate, in his petition, made the returning officer, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), and others parties in the case.

He in his petition stated that Nawaz Sharif had lost according to Form 45, adding that he had declared himself the winner in Form 47 with alleged collusion of the election commission officials.

He added that he had Form 45 results and demanded that the court order the issuance of results as per Form 45.

He also demanded that the court stop the ECP from issuing the final result, adding that the court order a recount and declare the result of Form 47 null and void.

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Dr Yasmin Rashid also decided to challenge Nawaz Sharif’s victory in the LHC.

Rana Mudassar Advocate will file a petition challenging Nawaz Sharif’s victory on behalf of Dr Yasmin Rashid.

“The returning officer has gone home after locking the office. We want an attested copy of the results. After obtaining the attested copy, the plea will be filed in the Lahore High Court,” Rana Mudassar said.

Similarly, PML-N leader Maryam Nawaz’s victory in NA-119 was challenged in the LHC by PTI-backed independent candidate Shahzad Farooq.

“The presiding officers did not issue Form 45. The returning officer also did not issue a notice while compiling the result. I had won the election but was defeated through rigging,” he alleged in his petition.

He demanded that the court order the re-compiling of Form 47, adding that the court declare Maryam Nawaz’s victory result null and void.

Likewise, PML-N leader Hamza Shehbaz’s victory in NA-118 was challenged in the LHC by PTI leader Aliya Hamza who contested the election as an independent candidate.

She made the returning officer, the ECP, and others parties in her petition and stated that Hamza Shehbaz had lost according to Form 45.

“Hamza Shehbaz declared himself winner in Form 47 with the alleged collusion of the election commission officials. The result was issued in my absence. We have Form 45 results with us,” she said.

She demanded that the court order the issuance of results as per Form 45.

She also demanded that the court stop the ECP from issuing the final result, adding that the court order a recount and annul the result of Form 47.
